No explosives or suspicious items were found after South Boston police investigated a bomb threat at Integrated Textile Solutions on Monday.
It was about 11:30 a.m. when a call of the threat was received at the facility on Parker Avenue in South Boston, police reported.
The South Boston Police Department, Halifax County Sheriff’s Office and the Virginia State Police responded, according to a news release. The Virginia State Police also sent two troopers as well as two explosive-sniffing K-9s.
The facility was evacuated by management while authorities checked the building. Officers did not locate anything suspicious.
The search lasted for about two hours. During that time, traffic was restricted on Parker Avenue and Houghton Boulevard as a precaution.
