A 33-year-old South Boston man faces a felony charge of assault with intent to maim and a misdemeanor charge of failure to appear, according to Halifax County Sheriff’s Office records.

Cordaro Gene Sweeney was charged with the alleged offenses that occurred Sept. 18 and Sept. 29, and Officer J. Butler with the South Boston Police Department served the warrants Sunday.

• William Trey Price, 41, of Nathalie faces a felony charge of violating his probation.

The alleged offense occurred Dec. 11, 2020, and another agency served the warrant Monday.

• Tyrell Trevon Harris, 26, of Vernon Hill faces a misdemeanor charge of obstruction of justice.

The alleged offense occurred June 24, and another agency served the warrant Monday.

• Jason Nathaniel Vernon, 41, of Alton faces a misdemeanor charge of violating probation.

The alleged offense occurred Oct. 27, 2020, and deputy J. L. Franco served the warrant Monday.

• Thomas Brent Duffer, 28, of Clover faces a misdemeanor charge of violating a protective order.

The alleged offense occurred Sept. 22, and Officer J. Eanes with the South Boston Police Department served the warrant Monday.

• Georgia Lynette Sparrow, 45, of Halifax faces a misdemeanor charge of bailee violation of release/pretrial condition.

The alleged offense occurred Oct. 22, and deputy W. G. Yancey served the warrant Monday.

• Carl Lee Wood Boyd, 58, of Lacks Town Road, Clover faces a misdemeanor charge violating probation.

The alleged offense occurred June 1, and deputy J. S. Garber served the warrant Monday.

• Kaneshia Renee Kirby Scott, 32, of South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge each of violate compulsory school attendance and being a parent not enforcing school attendance.

The alleged offenses occurred Oct. 21, and deputy G. L. Jones served the warrants Monday.

• Christopher Allen Ferguson, 31, of Long Island faces a misdemeanor charge of failure to appear.

The alleged offense occurred Aug. 23, and deputy W. D. Carr served the warrant Monday.

• Marvin Shantel Womack, 26, of South Boston faces a felony charge of probation violation.

The alleged offense occurred Jan. 29, and deputy J. B. Ragans served the warrant Sunday.

• Jason Andrew Gazauskas, 24, of Reidsville, North Carolina faces a misdemeanor charge each of driving while license is revoked/suspended, reckless driving and driving under the influence of marijuana.

The alleged offenses occurred Sunday, and Sgt. J. P. Adams served the warrants the same day.

• Amy Seresa Elliott, 55, of Virgilina faces a misdemeanor charge of defeating drug and alcohol screening.

The alleged offense occurred Oct. 13, and deputy T. W. Bush served the warrant Oct. 22.

• Nathan Edmund Coleman, 70, of Scottsburg faces a misdemeanor charge of public swearing/intoxication.
