A 21-year-old Scottsburg man faces a felony charge of discharging firearms or missiles within or a building or dwelling house and a misdemeanor charge each of reckless handling of a firearm and assault and battery of a family member, according to Halifax County Sheriff’s Office records.

Malcolm Jamal Barksdale of Woods Creek Lane was charged with the alleged offenses that occurred Thursday, and deputy C. D. Wilborne served the warrants the same day.

• Jane Ellen Powell, 47, of Shepherd Street, South Boston faces a felony charge each of possession of weapon as a felon, distribute or sell for profit a schedule I or II controlled substance and possession of a gun with schedule I or II controlled substance.

The alleged offenses occurred June 25, and deputy W. O. White served the warrant Wednesday.

• Erik Wade Coles, 30, of New Bethel Road, Alton faces a felony charge of violating probation.

The alleged offense occurred Jan. 15, and deputy T. A. Leath served the warrant Tuesday.

• Tyler Gray Keenan, 20, of Cook Avenue, Brookneal faces two felony charges of assault with intent to maim, a felony charge of destruction of property, and a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery of a family member.

The alleged offenses occurred July 31, and deputy T. M. Moore served the warrants Tuesday.

• A’Ziayah M. Easley, 18, of Cole Street, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery.

The alleged offense occurred Sept. 1, and another agency served the warrant Tuesday.

• Christian Michelle Jones, 32, of State Creek Road, Grundy faces a felony charge of felonious violate community base probation.

The alleged offense occurred June 25, and another agency served the warrant Tuesday.

• Kenneth Dale Wilborn Jr., 42, of Old Cluster Springs Road, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of failure to appear.

The alleged offense occurred Feb. 25, 2020, and another agency served the warrant Tuesday.

• Deron Jamal Traynham, 32, of N. Main Street, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery.

The alleged offense occurred Oct. 14, and another agency served the warrant Monday.

• Mervin Ceil Martin Jr., 43, of South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge each of violating a protective order and trespassing.

The alleged offenses occurred Oct. 8, and deputy C. D. Wilborne served the warrants Sunday.

• Ever Leodan Lemus Amaya, 24, of South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of violating probation.

The alleged offense occurred Oct. 19, 2020, and deputy T. W. Crute served the warrant Oct. 15.

• A 38-year-old South Boston man faces a charge each of proposing sex over a computer and resisting arresting, according to South Boston Police Department records.

James Lee Campbell was charged with the alleged offense, and Officer J. Butler served the warrant Oct. 15.

• Deron Jamal Traynham, 32, of N. Main Street, South Boston faces a charge of assault and battery.

Officer A. Dunn served the warrant Monday.

• Nikki S. Womack, 37, of Cole Street, South Boston faces a charge of assault and battery.

Dunn served the warrant Tuesday.
