The Tri-County Drug and Gang Task Force arrested 10 individuals from Southside Virginia for approximately 31 drug and firearms charges on Thursday, but seven additional suspects remain at large, according to Virginia State Police Public Relations Director Corinne Geller.

The Tri-County Drug and Gang Task Force conducted an operation on Thursday morning at residences across Lunenburg, Charlotte and Mecklenburg counties.

As a result of the extensive investigation by the Task Force, methamphetamine, heroin, marijuana, cocaine, pharmaceutical narcotics and numerous firearms were seized.

The investigation also led to charges of child neglect and distribution of drugs near a school, according to Geller.

The 10 individuals arrested on Thursday include Charlotte County residents William Courtney Jones of Red House, Travis Wade Hamlett of Phenix, Randolph S. Kube of Charlotte Court House, Donald Wayne Toombs of Keysville, and Carrie R. Hostetter of Red Oak.

Also arrested were Mecklenburg County residents Jessie Ray Mullins of Buffalo Junction and Lindsey Pettus of Chase City, and Lunenburg County residents John Vaughan of Victoria and Robert Earl Dix of Keysville.

The seven fugitives remaining at large include Timothy Wayne Dooley and Steven Michael Serrano of Victoria; Stacy Joan Coleman and Charles Moore IV of Chesapeake; Chet

Atkins of Keysville, Donald Carnell Bass of Red Oak and Jose Miguel Serrano of Kenbridge.

The indictments against the 10 individuals arrested on Thursday include distribution of methamphetamine; distribution of cocaine; manufacture of marijuana; possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute; possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute; possession of firearms while in possession of Schedule II narcotics; possession of heroin; possession of a Schedule I/II substance; and child neglect.
