Two county men face misdemeanor charges of carrying a concealed weapon following a traffic stop that occurred on Monday, according to Halifax County Sheriff Fred S. Clark.

Alonzio M. Jones, 22, of Chestnut Road, Nathalie and 27-year-old Markey L. Lawson of Bane Street, South Boston were charged with the concealed weapon offenses after members of the Halifax/South Boston drug task force conducted a traffic stop on Grubby Road.

During the stop, investigators recovered two firearms, including one that had been reported stolen from South Boston, said Clark.

On Monday, Cpl. T. A. Mocarsky served the warrant on Jones, and Deputy T. H. Clarke served the warrant on Lawson.

This is an ongoing investigation, the sheriff added.

• Darren Lee Satterfield, 31, of Little Creek Lane, South Boston faces a felony charge of grand larceny, according to Halifax County Sheriff Office records.

The alleged offense occurred April 2, and another agency served the warrant on Wednesday.

• Robert Sylvester Ewell, 63, of Ewell Lane, Vernon Hill faces a charge of felonious assault with intent to maim.

The alleged offense occurred Saturday, and Cpl. S. Britton served the warrant the same day.

• Nathan Edmund Coleman, 68, of Blue Ridge Regional Jail, Halifax face a felony probation violation.

The alleged offense occurred Feb. 2, 2018, and another agency served the warrant on Tuesday.

• Neal Grady Sibley, 30, of Halifax faces three misdemeanor charges of trespassing and a misdemeanor charge of stalking.

The alleged offenses occurred July 19 and July 5, and Deputy R. W. Guthrie served the warrant on July 19.

• Jerry Otis Russell, 67, of Rodgers Chapel Road, Clover faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery.

The alleged offense occurred July 19, and Deputy T. M. Moore served the warrant the same day.

• Nicholas Morris Wilmoth, 30, of Throckmorton Trail, Scottsburg faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery of a family member.

The alleged offense occurred July 19, and Guthrie served the warrant Saturday.

• Darrell L. Bowman, 55, of Rodgers Chapel Road, Clover faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery.

The alleged offense occurred July 19, and Moore served the warrant Saturday.

• Clarence Henry Goode, 62, of Kentuck Road, Sutherlin faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery.

The alleged offense occurred Saturday, and another agency served the warrant Monday.

• Trisha Marie Bates, 40, of North Main Street, Clover was issued a capias/show cause by Moore on Wednesday.

The alleged offense occurred the same day.

• Dalquan Lavon Harris, 27, of Greens Folly Road, South Boston faces two charges of trespassing and a misdemeanor charge of probation violation, according to South Boston Police Department records.

Officer W. K. Bane served the warrants Thursday.
