Two county residents face multiple drug charges stemming from two separate incidents, according to Halifax County Sheriff Fred S. Clark.

• Cindy Elizabeth Whitlow, 45, of Harmony Road, Alton faces charges of possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute and possession of a Schedule III controlled substance.

Deputy J. L. Franco served the warrants on Monday following a traffic stop.

During the traffic stop, authorities seized a substantial amount of suspected methamphetamine, cash, scales, packaging materials, drug paraphernalia and suspected Schedule III controlled substances, Clark said.

Whitlow was arrested and transported to Blue Ridge Regional Jail Authority where she is being held without bail.

• Blake Carden Crews, 29, of Dudley Road, Halifax faces charges of possession of marijuana, possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute and possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute.

Members of the Halifax/South Boston Regional Narcotic and Gang Task Force arrested Crews following a traffic stop that occurred Thursday.

During the traffic stop, task force members seized suspected marijuana, suspected cocaine, suspected methamphetamine, cash, scales and drug paraphernalia.

Members of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office assisted the task force with the traffic stop, Clark said.

Crews was arrested and transported to Blue Ridge Regional Jail Authority where he is being held without bail.

The Halifax/South Boston Regional Narcotic and Gang Task Force consists of members of the Virginia State Police, South Boston Police Department and the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office.
