Clays Mill Elementary School will be closed for the remainder of the week because they do not have running water due to a pump malfunction, according to a notice issued by Superintendent Dr. Mark Lineburg.

School was originally closed on Tuesday at 10 a.m. due to the malfunction.

“In the days ahead, we will follow the guidance of Virginia Department of Health for drinking water. The process to repair and ensure drinking water safety typically takes three to four days,” said Lineburg.

He anticipates Clays Mill Elementary students will return to school on Monday.
