A 42-year-old Danville woman, Tiffany Holliness, was charged with driving under the influence following a wreck in Halifax County at 4:55 a.m. Monday, according to a report filed by Virginia State Trooper H.J. Buzzetta. No one was injured in the wreck.

Holliness was driving a 2007 Toyota Camry on Highway 58, one mile west of Route 751, when she ran off the left side of the roadway and struck a guardrail, overcorrected and ran off the right side of the roadway, Buzzetta’s report states.

The report continues saying, the driver of a 2005 Hyundai Tiburon, 57-year-old John K. Cobbs of Danville, attempted to avoid Holliness’ wrecked vehicle and the debris from the wreck, and ran off the left side of the roadway, overcorrected and overturned.

Buzzetta estimated $6,500 in damages to the Toyota and $8,500 in damages to the Hyundai.
