Quilt

Marvin Ragland of South Boston, a Vietnam veteran who served in the U.S. Army, is one of the recipients of a quilt of valor during the Veterans Day program in Clarksville on Thursday. Ragland also received a quilt of valor for his daughter, Beverly Ragland Jennings, who served eight years in the U.S. Air Force from 2002-10, but was unable to be in attendance.

During the Veterans Day program in Clarksville on Thursday, three residents from Halifax County and South Boston were presented with a quilt of valor from the Glory Quilters of Clarksville.

Since 2014, these quilters have presented 195 quilts to veterans in the area.

Marvin Ragland, a Vietnam veteran who served in the U.S. Army, his daughter, Beverly Ragland Jennings, who served eight years in the U.S. Airforce from 2002-10 and Eddie Fallen, who served in the U.S. Army from 1978-98 and was recalled in 2004-05 and again in 2005-06, were recognized for their years of service to the country during the program.
