In-person absentee voting for the dual primary elections for the Democratic and Republican parties will start from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday and run Monday-Friday until June 19.
In-person absentee voting also will take place Saturday, June 20, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
June 20 is the last day to vote in-person absentee ballot at the Halifax County Voter Registration and Elections Office.
If voting absentee by mail, Tuesday, June 16, is the last day to request an absentee ballot by mail. Applications must be received in the Halifax County Voter Registration and Elections Office by 5 p.m.
All absentee voted ballots must be returned to the office by 7 p.m. June 23 to be counted.
The dual primary election will be held June 23, and the last day to register to vote or change voter registration is May 26.
Mailed voter registration applications must be sent to the Halifax County Voter Registration and Elections Office postmarked on or before the deadline.
Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. June 23, and a photo I.D. is required. Verify voter registration polling place and valid photo I.D. before Election Day at elections.virginia.gov.
