The Halifax County-South Boston Public Library System will move to Phase Three of the library’s reopening plan on July 6.
During Phase Three, curbside service will continue and customers may enter the libraries.
Every weekday the first hour the libraries are open will be reserved for those age 60 and older and anyone with a serious health condition.
Face coverings of some type must be worn by anyone age 10 and older who enters a library building. The library will be selling facemasks for .50 each.
Social distancing will be enforced at both libraries.
The library will not have office supplies, such as pencils, pens, staplers, etc., for use by the public.
Exact change will be required for any payments that are made. Any balances from transactions will be considered as donations to the library. Staff will not be making change.
There will continue to be no use of library meeting rooms, and no library programs will be held in-house.
The library is not accepting donations of books or other materials at this time.
