Halifax County Sheriff Fred S. Clark dubbed the 8th annual Stuff the Cruiser toy drive a “great success.”
Starting on Dec. 5, the sheriff’s office began asking the public to help stuff a sheriff’s office patrol cruiser with Christmas gifts for children in need.
Items being accepted were new toys, coats and gloves.
“Without the generous donations made by caring citizens, this project would not be possible. Because of the bountiful donations, we are able to provide a large number of toys, coats and gloves for the less fortunate children of Halifax County,” said Clark.
The goal of the toy drive is to actively involve law enforcement and the community by working together to help ensure that all Halifax County children will have a gift at Christmas.
“We strongly believe that all children are precious and deserve a wonderful Christmas,” the sheriff added.
