A 78-year-old South Boston man, James P. Cassada Jr., was charged with failure to yield the right-of-way following a two-vehicle wreck that occurred at 1:25 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Dan River Church Road and Bellevue Road, according to a report filed by Virginia State Trooper J.A. Williamson.
Cassada was attempting to turn left in a 2012 Toyota SUV when he struck a 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe driven by 70-year-old Donald W. Barker of South Boston, Williamson’s report states.
Neither driver was injured in the wreck.
Williamson estimated $2,000 in damages to the Toyota and $750 in damages to the Hyundai.
