Disaster Response Training

Southside Baptist Church hosted a Disaster Response Training session for the Dan River Baptist Association on April 29. Approximately 25 people attended and participated in the event including instructors from the Baptist General Association of Virginia who provided the training. “On behalf of Southside Baptist Church, it was a blessing to host the recent Disaster Response Training session for the Dan River Baptist Association,” said Don Bryant, pastor of Southside Baptist Church. “The training team was wonderful and did a tremendous job preparing participants to assist in providing disaster relief. We are so grateful for those willing to give their time to train the volunteers and for all the volunteers willing to donate their time and energy to help those in need during times of disaster,” he added. “Southside Baptist Church is always happy to provide its facilities to the Dan River Baptist Association.” Attending are (front row, from left) Lisa Long, Sherry Tuck, Barry Wilkerson and Amber Clark; (second row) Luanne Jones, Tamra Whitt, Bobbie Wilkerson and Emily Sanford; (third row) Amy Cole, Dianna Cole, Sabrina Haynes and Christy Newton; (fourth row) Mary Owen, the Rev.
