This summer will be all about Tails & Tales at the Halifax County-South Boston Public Library.

The library’s 2021 summer reading program starts on May 29 with a special program from the Ward Burton Wildlife Foundation at 10 a.m. at the South Boston Public Library. After the kickoff program, kids can look forward to weekly programs featuring a story and a craft every Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the South Boston Public Library.

The summer reading program will conclude on July 17 with a special program featuring Rocking B Farm at the South Boston Public Library at 10 a.m.

If families want more of Miss Sue’s fun and songs, then go see her at the South Boston Farmers’ Market. She will be there on May 15, June 19 and Aug. 14, with programs starting at 10 a.m.

The library also will be resuming children’s art programs. The first two upcoming art programs will be June 17 at the South Boston Public Library at 10 a.m. and June 21 in the parking lot of the Halifax Farmers’ Market at 10 a.m.

The library has a lot planned for children this summer.
