Christmas is just around the corner, and members of the Business Women’s Association of Halifax County invite the public to attend the 2019 Holiday Living Show to kick off holiday shopping and support scholarships for local students.
The show is this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. at Halifax County High School. Admission is $2 for ages 10 and up, with admission fees going to the schools’ athletic department.
Sponsored by the Business Women’s Association of Halifax County, the show features arts, crafts and food with a large and varied selection of items too numerous to mention.
All vendor spaces have been filled with new vendors and many returning vendors.
The vendor traveling the furthest is from Buckhannon, West Virginia.
Spainhour Diner will be there at the high school serving stew and chicken and dumplings. Kettle corn and meat skins also will be just outside the entrance.
Last year the association awarded to local students 10 scholarships for a total of $8,000.
“The BWAHC thanks the community for your support through the years. We could not do what with do without the shoppers. Come on out this weekend and meet our vendors, see your friends and get those special items for you, family and friends. Please stop by the information table and say hello to us,” said Corlis Nichols of the association.
“We invite you to become a member of our group. See you at the show,” she added.
