Two individuals were transported to a nearby hospital with minor injuries sustained in a two-vehicle wreck Tuesday near 9:30 a.m., according to a report filed by Virginia State Trooper L. V. Pambid.

Corey Comer, a 39-year-old South Boston man, was stopped in the left lane on Philpott Road, west of Wilkins Road, in a 2014 International 7400 diverting traffic to the right lane with an arrow board for a mobile work zone and was struck in the rear by a 2003 Nissan Altima driven by 25-year-old O’Sean M. Wagstaff of Danville, Pambid’s report states.

Comer and Wagstaff both sustained minor injuries and were transported to the hospital.

Wagstaff was charged with reckless driving, failure to maintain proper control.

Pambid estimated $4,000 worth of damages to the International, owned by Virginia Department of Transportation, and $1,500 worth of damages to the Nissan.
