An 86-year-old Virgilina woman face a charge of following too closely following a two-vehicle wreck that occurred Tuesday at 9:13 a.m., according to an accident report filed by Virginia State Trooper H. J. Buzzetta.

The report says 49-year-old Stanley Britton Jr. of South Boston had slowed in a 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche to make a right turn on Route 501 when a 2007 Ford Ranger driven by Fannie M. Tuck struck it in the rear.

Neither driver was injured.

Buzzeta estimated $500 in damages to the Ford and $1,500 in damages to the Chevrolet.
