Wide Open Entrepreneurs is bringing a networking event to South Boston on Oct. 23 and Oct. 24 at The Prizery for those who would like a chance to reboot their current business or start a new one.
A limited number of gala-only tickets, general tickets, priority tickets and VIP tickets are available for sale online.
VIP tickets include an exclusive dinner on Wednesday, Oct. 23, for a private evening at Molasses Grill in Halifax for dinner with the speakers, sponsors and NASCAR driver Colin Garrett of Elmo.
It also includes a private cocktail reception and Q&A panel immediately after the conference upstairs in The Prizery’s reception hall.
According to the Wide Open Entrepreneurs’ website, “Proceeds from the conference and related events will benefit Racing For Heroes, a nonprofit founded by Service Disabled Army Special Forces CW3 Mike Evock to combat the epidemic of Veteran suicides.”
Garrett is promoting Racing for Heroes in a National Awareness Campaign through his racing.
Based at Virginia International Raceway in Alton, “Racing For Heroes provides a holistic approach to help veterans overcome health issues like PTSD and traumatic brain injuries (TBI), and it also assists with job placement. In 2018, RFH helped veterans get jobs totaling salaries of $1 million annually, and they’re rapidly growing this much-needed service.”
The conference will be held on Thursday, Oct. 24, featuring keynote speaker Steve D. Sims, “The Real Life Wizard of Oz.”
He is the founder of the luxury concierge firm Bluefish and author of “Bluefishing – the Art of Making Things Happen.”
Sims has worked with Elon Musk, Richard Branson and Sir Elton John, to name a few.
Other speakers include Dom Faussette, command presence, Leo Goykham, build that brand, Brian Scrone, perceived vs. reality of success, Dorothy Illson, digital advertising, Allan Isfan, O to $1M – how to turn your idea to a business and Dave Swanson, become your GOAT, you have to wrestle the goat.
