Dozens of shoppers fill the Halifax County High School gymnasium for the Holiday Living Show in 2019.

Halifax County’s Christmas shopping season officially kicks of this weekend with the Holiday Living Show.

The two-day event runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday.

This show has been held annually for more than three decades and is filled with handmade arts and crafts, handmade furniture, baked goods, Christmas ornaments, collectibles, local honey, jewelry, some commercial vendors and numerous other items.

Sponsored by the Business Women’s Association of Halifax County and Halifax County High School, all net proceeds will be used to provide college scholarships for local deserving students, both current high school graduates and older adults who attend college.

Masks will be required by the school.

Admission is $2, and children under 10 are free.
