The town of South Boston will hold a public hearing at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 12, at the Washington-Coleman Community Center located at 1927 Jeffress Blvd. in South Boston to solicit public input from the local community on proposed Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding for a community project — the Poplar Creek Homes Project.

The town of South Boston will hold a public hearing at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 12, at the Washington-Coleman Community Center located at 1927 Jeffress Blvd. in South Boston to solicit public input from the local community on proposed Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding for a community project — the Poplar Creek Homes Project.

The proposed layout, cost information and housing design plans will be presented for comment along with information on the amount of funding available, the requirements on benefit to low-and moderate-income persons, eligible activities and plans to minimize displacement and provide displacement assistance as necessary, will be available.

Citizens also will be given the opportunity to comment on the town of South Boston’s past use of CDBG funds.
