Construction on the new addition to the South Boston Fire Department continues on schedule, according the project manager Christian Willis.

The front facade showing the two new entrances for fire trucks can be seen as one passes by the local fire department on Broad Street.

The length of the new building is obvious from the view of the left sidewall having open spaces where window units will be installed.

A view from the back side of the new addition to the South Boston Fire Department looking inside shows the placement of new office space, new sleeping quarters and bathrooms for fire fighter EMT personnel who stay all night to respond to emergency calls.

J.E. Burton Construction Co., Inc. of South Boston is in charge of the project with Willis as project manager.

Masonry work is being done by Holman Masonry Inc. from Farmville.
