Anita Ferguson Hall of Halifax passed away Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2021. She was born in Lowell, North Carolina and was the daughter of the late Charlie Ferguson and the late Levie Beard Ferguson. She was married to Tommy Hall who survives.
She was of the Baptist faith and retired from Burlington Mills. Anita loved flowers, gardening and canning. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Anita is survived by her husband, Tommy Hall of Halifax; her children, Star Hall and husband Joe of Halifax, Dodie Epps and husband Mac of Halifax, Donna Wazeka and husband Billy of South Boston and Lisa Sheagley and husband Mike of Vernon Hill; two step-sons, Keith Hall and wife Wendy of South Boston and Chris Hall and wife Natasha of Louisiana; fourteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and one special cousin, Carolyn Mitchell.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harley Ammons; and one sister, Geraldine Shepard.
A graveside service was held Sunday, Feb. 7, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Halifax Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Jesse Young officiating.
