Anna Elizabeth Comer Glasscock, 89, of Buffalo Junction, passed away Jan. 5, 2021.

She was born on Sept. 10, 1931 in Halifax County, the daughter of the late Walter Green Comer and Lonie B. Ford Comer. She was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband, Wallace Glasscock, of the home; daughter Sandra G. Callahan of Clarksville; son Timothy W. Glasscock of Buffalo Junction; and grandchildren Amy E. Callahan of Chase City and Adam B. Callahan of Knightdale, North Carolina. Also surviving is her sister, Helen C. Thacker, of Halifax.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Raymond G. Comer, Andrew “Buck” Comer, James “Sam” Comer, Randolph L. Comer, Douglas A. Comer, Herbert “Tom” Comer, Hester G. Comer and Freeman C. Comer; and a sister, Farris C. Hudson.

Many thanks to her caregiver, Crystal Overby, and the medical staff of Clarksville Clinic and Sentara Hospital for the loving care given to Anna during her later years; also, Dr. Reginald Young and staff, for their years of care.

Graveside services were held on Thursday, Jan. 7, 2021, at 2 p.m. in Oakhurst Cemetery with the Rev. Doug Ballew officiating.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, masks were worn and social distancing guidelines followed.
