Mrs. Annette Coleman of Scottsburg died Monday, June 22, 2020, at Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital at the age of 59.
Mrs. Coleman was born in Halifax County on Feb. 4, 1964 to Margaret Majors Carter and the late Roosevelt Jackson. She was married to Sherwood Coleman and was a member of St. Paul CME Church, where she served as church secretary.
In addition to her husband of the home, survivors include one daughter, Lynette Chantel Tuck, of Scottsburg; one son, Ja’Mon S. Coleman, of Scottsburg; two grandchildren, Jaz’Min Tuck and Ja”Nel Tuck of Scottsburg; two brothers, Robert Carter and Christopher Carter of North Carolina; two uncles, Victor Majors and Lawrence Majors; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her father, one sister, Rillia Diane Majors, also preceded her in death.
Funeral services for Mrs. Coleman will be Friday, June 26, 2020, at 11 a.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Andre Williams officiating.
Burial will be private at St. Paul CME Church.
Public viewing for family and friends was Thursday, June 25, 2020, from noon until 5 p.m.
