Bobby Larry Williams of Clover passed away Aug. 17, 2020. He was born in Halifax County on Dec. 28, 1939 and was 80 years of age. He was the son of the late Samuel Isaac Williams and the late Ruby Francisco Williams. He was married to Mary Lee Seay Williams who survives.

He retired after more than 60 years from the grocery business. Bobby was a man full of life, joy, always had a laugh to share and a twinkle in his bright blue eyes. He was a man of few words but, when he spoke, those words held meaning. He believed in God, and he was a devoted Christian. He loved his family, his community, and shared his gifts with all whom he met. He will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

In addition to his wife of the home, survivors include his children, Larry Williams and Kimberly Williams Overton, both of North Carolina; and brothers, Samuel Davis Williams (Linda) of Clover and Frank Warren Williams (Reverly) of Greensboro, North Carolina.

A brother, Mark Anthony Williams, also preceded him in death.

A funeral service will be held Friday, Aug. 21, 2020, at 2 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home chapel with the Revs. Aubrey Heath and Jesse Young officiating.

Burial will follow in Clover Cemetery.
