Mrs. Elsie E. Mosley White of Lower Liberty Road, Nathalie died on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2020, at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital at the age74.
Mrs. White was born in Halifax County on July 25, 1946 to the late Bertha Plenty Traynham and Alex Jones, and also a devoted stepfather, Henry Louise Plenty. She was married to the late Jerry White and was a member of Crystal Hill Baptist Church.
Mrs. White is survived by three children, Stafford Moorman, Shawnee S. Dixon and Monique White; 10 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one brother, Wallace Mosley (Mary); one sister, Helen M. Mitchell; one goddaughter, Wykinnya H. Whitehurst; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including the devoted Betty Tucker and Zena Rooks.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Pamela Moorman; one brother, Frank Mosley; and two sisters, Gracie Marks and Cora Tucker.
Graveside services for Mrs. Elsie E. Mosley White will be Saturday, Nov. 7, 2020, at 11 a.m. at Crystal Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with eulogist, the Rev. Samuel Leigh. Due to COVID-19 guidelines, a face mask and social distancing will be required.
Public viewing for family and friends will be Friday, Nov. 6, 2020, from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home, South Boston.
