Mr. Fred Thomas Robertson of Clover died on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2020, at Duke Regional Hospital at the age of 78.

Mr. Robertson was born Oct. 3, 1941, in South Boston to Mrs. Jane J. Hughes Robertson and the late Mr. Sylvester Wilson Robertson Sr. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and was a retired employee of ABB.

Mr. Robertson is survived by four children, Freddie A. Robertson (Janice), Ruth R. Robertson, Charles S. Robertson Sr. (Barbara,) and Pamela V. Robertson-Cousins; 12 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren with one on the way; his mother, Mrs. Jane J. Hughes Robertson; four brothers, John Robertson (Rita), Wallace Robertson (Annette), Leonard Robertson (Sandra), and Robert Louis Robertson (Jennifer); eight sisters, Elizabeth Minor, Estelle Sullivan, Kate Lurry (Theodore), Cora Wilson, Bertha Delaware, Catherine Talley (Ervin), Joan Robertson and Earnestine Smalls (Irvin); his high school sweetheart, turned wife and best friend, Lena M. Robertson; and a host of other relatives and friends. 

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one son, Thomas Allen Robertson; and two brothers, Sylvester (Mose) Robertson Jr. and Joe Willie Robertson.

Funeral services for Mr. Fred Thomas Robertson were held on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2020, at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Fredrick Eily, eulogist. 

Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Public viewing for family and friends was held Friday, Feb. 14, 2020, from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the residence, 3056 Clover Road, Clover.
