Harry Tillman Crews Jr. of Halifax passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2020. He was born in Halifax County on April 8, 1936 and was 84 years of age. He was the son of the late Harry Tillman Crews Sr. and the late Ola Duncan Crews. He was married to Audrey Epperson Crews who survives.

Tillman loved the land and especially the century old Crews Farm, where he was a lifelong tobacco farmer, and there he and his wife raised their three sons. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who will be dearly missed.

Harry Tillman Crews Jr. is survived by his children, Harry Tillman Crews III and wife Laurie of Halifax, Keith Thomas Crews and wife Cathy of Halifax and Aubrey Todd Crews and wife Karen of South Boston; his grandchildren, Katie Crews Martin and husband Joe, Keith Thomas Crews Jr., Jillian Paige Crews, Jacob Todd Crews, Heather Ann Crews and Noah Bradley Crews; great grandchild, Miller Martin; and his brother, Charles Crews of Halifax.

A graveside service was held Sunday, June 7, 2020, at 2 p.m. at McKendree United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Ken Hanson officiating.

The family received friends at the home of Harry Tillman Crews III, 1043 Bradley Road, Halifax.
