Mrs. Hazel Epps Eades of South Boston passed away on Friday, March 8, 2019, at Berry Hill Health and Re-Hab. She was born in Halifax County on Jan. 25, 1927 and was 93 years old. She was the daughter of the late Mose Anderson Epps and Mary Ann Thompson Epps and was married to the late Garland James Eades.

She was retired form Daystrom Furniture and was a member of Pleasant Grove Christian Church.

Survivors include one daughter, 
Glenda E. Glascock, of South Boston; two sisters, 
Mrs. Mary E. McDowell of South Boston
and Mrs. Nannie E. Beard of Halifax.

She was preceded in death by four sisters, 
Mrs. Lucy E. Tuck, Mrs. Annie E. Whitlow, Mrs. Ruby E. Seamans and Mrs. Pearl Crenshaw; and three brothers, Mr. Obbie Epps, Mr. Otis Epps and Mr. Lacy Epps.

A graveside service was held on Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at 3 p.m. at Oak Ridge Cemetery with the Rev. Don Bryant officiating.
