Mr. Louis Tyrone “Tye” Muse of Glen Allen, formerly of Halifax County, died Friday, Sept. 6, 2019, at his residence at the age of 67.
Mr. Muse was born in Halifax County on June 2, 1952 to the late Mr. Louis Ernest Muse and Mrs. Iretha Edmonds Muse.
He was a member of New Zion Baptist Church.
Mr. Muse is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Andrea Knowles, (Leon) of Glen Allen; one son, Dr. Louis Muse Jr., (Laura) of Browns Summit, North Carolina; five grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Lois Wallace (Raphael), Ms. Geraldine Davis and Mrs. Yetta Patterson (Julius); two brothers, Mr. Kevin Muse and Mr. Eric Muse; one aunt and uncle; and a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Mrs. Betty Gail Jordan, and two brothers, Mr. Theodore Muse and Mr. Dwight Muse.
Funeral services for Mr. Muse will be held Thursday, Sept. 12, 2019, at 2 p.m. at New Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Willie N. Yancey as eulogist.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Public viewing for family and friends will be Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2019, from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends at the home of Mr. Lance Watson, 3201 Meadville Road, Halifax.
