Madison Olean Massenburg-Carden of South Boston died Thursday, Aug. 20 at University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville at the age of 18.
Madison was born in Halifax County on May 13, 2002 to Stacy Massenburg and Quinton Carden and was a member of White Stone Pentecostal Church.
Madison is survived by her parents, Stacy (Devin) and Quinton (Damiene); two brothers, Chaquon and Jackson; three paternal brothers, Deion, Tykeem and Jayden; two paternal sisters, Tianna and Malasia; her grandmothers, Gladys and Virginia; her great grandmother, Arlena; one uncle, Sean (Nikkia and daughter Yaz); one aunt, Tamara (Chis and son CJ); one god sister, Nadia; and a host of other uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Madison was preceded in death by twin siblings, Zeke and Zekiah Massenburg-Carden.
Graveside service for Madison Massenburg - Carden will be Wednesday, Aug. 26 at 1 p.m. at King Family Cemetery, 1169 King Village Trail, Halifax, VA., with Bishop Joseph Farmer officiating.
Public viewing for family and friends will be Tuesday, Aug. 25 from noon until 8 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
