Ms. Nannie Jean Hogue of Halifax County died on Monday, Sept. 12, 2022, at her residence at the age of 68. 

Ms. Hogue was born Oct. 27, 1953, in Halifax County to the late Robert Lee Hogue Sr. and Maydell Petty Hogue and was a member of County Line Missionary Baptist Church. 

Ms. Hogue is survived by one daughter, Sandra Hogue Lambert (partner Nikita); one granddaughter, Titeanna Lambert (Wayne); two grandsons, Bryan Lambert and Deanta Tucker (Samantha); seven bonus grandchildren; three brothers, Ernest Hogue (Dorraine), Cecil Hogue (Diane) and Benjamin Hogue; two sisters, Sylvia Hogue and Sherry Hogue; one son-in-law, Luther H. Lambert Jr.; and a host of bonus great-grandchildren, sisters, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Brenda Marie Hogue; and one brother, Robert Lee Hogue Jr. 

Graveside services for Ms. Nannie Jean Hogue will be Saturday, Sept. 17, 2022, at 11 a.m. at County Line Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Otis Dillard, eulogist. 

Public viewing for family and friends will be Friday, Sept. 16, 2022, from noon to 6 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home, South Boston.
