Mr. Paul Henry Easley of Danville and formerly of Halifax County died Thursday, Sept. 3 at Stratford Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Danville at the age of 88.

Mr. Easley was born in Halifax County on May 19, 1932 to the late Mr. Isaac Easley and Mrs. Chloe Ballou Easley. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served in the Korean War.

Mr. Easley is survived by his faithful daughter, Mrs. Sebrena Easley Sweeney (Larry Sr.) of Jacksonville, North Carolina; one granddaughter, Ms. Shari L. Sweeney of Okinawa, Japan; one grandson, Mr. Larry J. Sweeney II of Jacksonville, North Carolina; a very caring niece, Ms. LuvRonda Jones of Waldorf, Maryland; and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by six sisters, Ms. Bertha Easley, Mrs. Rosa Sanders, Mrs. Ellen Tennial, Mrs. Grace Chestnut, Ms. Fannie Easley and Mrs. Virginia Proctor; one brother, Mr. Ike Easley.

Graveside services for Mr. Paul Henry Easley will be held Thursday, Sept. 10 at 11 a.m. with services at Oak Ridge Cemetery with Bishop John Williams officiating. Due to COVID-19 guidelines, a facemask and social distancing will be required.

Public viewing will be Wednesday from noon until 8 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home Chapel.
