Peggy Guill Snead of South Boston passed away March 20, 2020.
She was born in Halifax County on Sept. 19, 1934 and was 85 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Luther Holt Guill and the late Eunice Allen Guill.
She was a member of Ash Avenue Baptist Church.
Peggy is survived by four children, Brenda N. Lowery and husband Fred, Delain N. Dillow and husband Todd, Janet N. Gravitt and husband Donald and Ronnie Dean Newbill Sr., all of South Boston; grandchildren Michele Crenshaw (Michael), Cliff Lewis (Theresa), Kyle Gravitt (Jackie), Ronnie Dean Newbill Jr., Devin Dillow (Andy), Taylor Dillow, Courtney Newbill, Tony Lowery (Stacey) and Wendy Hall (Keith); 10 great-grandchildren; host of nieces and nephews; sister Lillie Mae Jones of South Boston; sister-in-law Jeanie Guill and her devoted caregiver, Wally Jordon.
Her siblings, Inez Noblin, Elsie White, Lucille Guill, Robert, Hugh and Nelson Guill, also preceded her in death.
A private graveside service will be held Sunday, March 22, 2020, at 2 p.m. at Halifax Memorial Gardens with the Revs. Randy Holmes and Pat Nielson officiating.
A celebration of life will be held at later date.
