Prince Arthur Wallace Jr., age 62, went to his eternal home on Monday, March 6, 2023.
He was born in Halifax County on March 29, 1960.
He was the son of the late Prince Arthur Wallace Sr. and the late Annie Barksdale Wallace.
He is survived by his wife Janice Hayes Wallace.
Junior, as he preferred to be called, was a member of Mountain Road Baptist Church. His faith in God grew stronger when he became blind, and he never let his disability define him. Junior lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed working outside, listening to music on the radio, walking his dogs, keeping up with his “big guy” on the scanner, talking Fox News with a close friend and playing with his grandson.
In addition to his wife, Janice, Junior is survived by their son Jason Lee Wallace; their daughter, Sarah Wallace Martin and husband Cody; and their grandson, Brooks Wayne Martin. Their oldest daughter, Brandy Marie Wallace, preceded her father in death.
Junior is also survived by his sisters, Felicia Wallace, Amy Campbell and husband Buddy; brother, Gary Wallace and wife Crystal; sisters-in-law, Lynn Conner and husband Johnnie, Tracy Carmichael and husband Harold; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Junior will be held Saturday, March 11, 2023, at Mountain Road Baptist Church with Pastor David Dawson officiating.
The family will receive friends at 6 p.m. with the service at 7 p.m.
