Mr. William Leroy “Tootsie” Patrick of Union Church Road, South Boston died Wednesday, June 24 at his residence at the age of 67.

Mr. Patrick was born in Halifax County on Aug. 5, 1952 to the late Mr. Leroy P. Patrick and Mrs. Annie Vass Patrick. He was married to Mrs. Crisanta F. Patrick and was a former member of News Ferry Baptist Church. He was a former employee of Daystrom Furniture, Ryder Trucking Company and Able Construction.

Mr. Patrick is survived by his wife, Mrs. Crisanta F. Patrick of the home; one son, Mr. Keith Patrick (Sharanda) of Lynchburg; one daughter, Ms. Lisa H. Patrick of Roxboro, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Mubeeb Hussain and Sa’habiza Hussain, both of Roxboro, North Carolina and Mr. Caiden Patrick of South Boston; one great grandchild, Amier Patrick of South Boston; five sisters, Ms. Mary Patrick and Mrs. Ella Bowan, both of South Boston, Ms. Elizabeth Patrick of Washington, D.C., Mrs. Phyllis Wright (Robert) and Mrs. Flo Macklin (Richard), all of Reidsville, North Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Patrick was preceded in death by one sister, Mrs. Bessie P. Stewart.

Funeral services for Mr. William Leroy “Tootise” Patrick will be held on Wednesday, July 1 at 1 p.m. with services at The Crawford House Chapel.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, at the request of the family, the service will be kept to 50 attendees.

Burial will follow at William Temple C.M.E. Church Cemetery.

Public viewing will be at The Crawford House on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
