FBI Director James Comey has publicly announced a full-blown investigation is underway on any Russian influence that could have interfered with the presidential election.

He also stated no evidence has been found suggesting Obama has wiretapped Trump.

Typically the FBI does not comment on ongoing investigations, but Comey noted it is for the better interest of the population for this to be discussed.

Public bragging by Roger Stone, a confidante of Trump’s, on contact with Russian hackers has prompted much of this investigation. The FBI claims to be investigating any type of collusion from anyone on Trump’s team during the election period.

Comey has been receiving some backlash though for choosing not to respond to any commentary regarding the ongoing investigation, which is not allowed anyway. However, Clinton supporters noted the hypocrisy stating Comey had discussed her investigation as it was ongoing.

Also, according to the FBI and NSA, absolutely no evidence has been found to suggest the Obama Administration or anyone who worked closely with the administration had wiretapped Trump Tower during the election.

This does not mean, however, that other methods of surveillance have not been used. Clearly, a leak exists somewhere, and it is extremely important the source of that leak is found and dealt with accordingly.

I’m not really sure what I believe.

Part of me would like to believe Comey and the FBI can be trusted, but I think after seeing how the Clinton “investigation” played out, I have concluded the FBI has become nothing more than another political vessel for political advancement.

Do I think Trump has been wiretapped or surveilled in some sort of way?

Yes, I do. But to what extent, I do not know.

If this potential wiretap also shows any sign of collusion or misconduct, I don’t think I will be upset either.

I do hope this investigation is performed quickly and professionally, but I guess we will see how it goes.
