To the editor:

Are you ready for Bless Our Schools Sunday?

Will you participate on Sept. 15?

On Sept. 15, churches around the world will cry out to the Lord for the students, teachers and school staff in their congregations. Imagine the impact this time of prayer will have on that worn-out teacher, the weary principal, the school board member that’s standing up for biblical values as well as every school in your community.

Bless Our Schools Sunday, hosted by Moms in Prayer International, is a time for churches to ask all the educators and/or students to stand or come forward while the pastor prays blessings over them for the school year.

Pastors have the freedom to celebrate Bless Our Schools Sunday in a way that best fits the service and congregation. Some might even have a whole sermon based on blessing our schools through prayer and highlight testimonies of answered prayer from Moms in Prayer women, teachers and students.

Churches are welcome to participate in Bless Our Schools at their Saturday services as well.
