To the editor:

It is sad each and every day there are many who go through great sadness for one reason or another.

Know this, if you have a roof over your head be thankful because in this country there are over 30 million homeless people with no place to go.

If you have food to eat on a daily basis, be thankful. More than half of the world’s population goes to bed hungry each and every night.

If you have a job, be thankful. Unemployment is at an all time high since the Great Depression.

If you have someone to talk to on a daily basis, whether a friend or family member, be thankful.

There are countless people who live such isolated lives with no one to talk to at all.

Count your blessings.
