To the editor:

I am writing this letter in response to a letter written by Wayne Stanfield, titled, “Pastor rides the wrong horse again” (Nov. 14, 2020), which was written in response to a letter written by Dane Skelton, titled, “Velvet covered tyranny” (Nov. 4, 2020).

I feel like the gist of these two letters written were based on three things — one, being a study having been done by a potentially fallible man, another being based on ideologies of a denomination created by potentially fallible men and finally, the Word of God.

I’m not going to touch on every part of the letters.

My desire is to share God’s thoughts on man’s sexual relations.  Wayne, Dane and myself should base our beliefs and words on the infallible Word of God with God being Father, Son and Holy Spirit (three person’s, one God).

The bible pinned by the hand of men under the strict guidance of God, by His Spirit, is God breathed. This means He has full control of its words, thoughts and truths that are contained in it.

One thing Dane pointed out was what he believed to be the dysfunctional lives that come out of homosexual relationships for both the adults who choose it and also the children that are raised in it. I believe these are valid concerns, but I see a greater concern.

I feel the greater concern is how God feels about the acts of someone who continuously practices the homosexual lifestyle.  Wayne said he is a Christian (believer), so I assume he would agree with what God’s Word says about this subject.

I will give many scriptures that out rightly say what I’m about to say.  These are not my thoughts or ideas, only a proclamation of what God says. I believe according to scripture the problem (sin) is the sexual relation involved in same sex relationships.

I can’t find in the Word of God where it says that two men or two women can’t live together or raise children together. The problem (sin) comes in when there is sexual relations involved. So, why don’t we go a little deeper and say as any bible believer should say, that any sexual relations other than one man and one woman in the bond of marriage, which is God’s plan, is a problem (sin). This includes fornication (sex before marriage), adultery (sex after marriage with someone other than your spouse), sex all by yourself, sex with animals, man with man, and woman with woman.

So, the act of having sex was given to us from God for procreation between one man and one woman in marriage. Anyone continuing in any of these sinful choices will not inherit the Kingdom of God/spend eternity with Him.

If you have no part in the Kingdom of God, there is only one place left and that’s eternal separation from God in hell, lake of fire, torment or sheol. This in essence is the problem with sexual relations apart from God’s ordained plan.

If this offends anyone, no need to be angry with me, God said this and He’s not going to change this to suit any of our likings. Just remember, no matter who you are or what you believe is right, one day every knee will bow and every tongue will confess Jesus is Lord.

For many, He may not have been their Lord, but He is the Lord of Lords and King of Kings. May God give us ears to hear what the Spirit of the Lord says.

Here are the scriptures from The Word of God, pertaining to all I have discussed: 1 Corinthians 6: 9-10, Romans 1: 24-32, 1 Corinthians 7:2, 1 Corinthians 6:18-20, 1 Corinthians 10:13, Matthew 5: 27-30, Hebrews 13: 4, 1 Thessalonians 4: 3-7, Ephesians 5: 3-7, Galatians 5: 19-21, Galatians 6: 7-8, 1 Peter 1: 15-16, Revelations 2: 20-23, Leviticus 18: 23, Jude 1: 7, 1 Timothy 1: 8-10 and James 1: 14-15.
