The South Boston Recreation Department hosted their fifth week of games for the Midget basketball league on Thursday with two separate games taking place. 

The South Boston Recreation Department hosted their fifth week of games in the Senior Teen basketball league on Saturday with the Blazers taking on the Spurs in the only matchup of the afternoon.

The Wizards, Comets and Knicks won on the opening night for the South Boston Parks and Recreation Department’s Midget and Junior Teen Basketball leagues.

The South Boston Business & Industrial/30 & Over Basketball League hosted its fifth week of games on Sunday with the first game of the day between Hitachi-ABB/ Trilum LLC and Polywood II, both of which were undefeated with records of 4-0.

The Halifax County Gun Club will host a “5 Stand Fun Shoot” on Sunday at the club. Shooting for the event will begin at 10:30 a.m. with the last squad shooting at 4 p.m.
