A benefit pre-season volleyball camp for girls ages 8-18 will be held Saturday at the Halifax County High School gym.

The cost is $20 per player, and proceeds raised from the camp will go to benefit Caroline Laughorn and her family. Donations also will be welcome. Players will pay the $20 fee at the door on Saturday.

Camp for girls ages 8 through 12 will be held from 10 a.m until noon, with camp for players ages 12 through 18 going from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m.

Comets head volleyball coach Meg Bane and NCAA Division I player and former Comets standout Whitney White will lead the camp.

White, a middle blocker, ranks as the number two blocker and number eight hitter in the MEAC. She is also an assistant coach for the Carolina Edge volleyball team.
