Dollar General/UNARCO won the regular-season South Boston Business & Industrial Basketball League title and followed it up by winning the tournament championship. Dollar General/UNARCO completed a sweep of the South Boston Business & Industrial Basketball League Sunday by winning the league tournament championship game.

Surviving a high-scoring thriller, Dollar General/UNARCO topped Aquatics/Tvilum LLC 99-95 to win the tournament championship and complete a sweep that included the regular-season title.

Trailing by 10 points at halftime, Aquatics/Tvilum LLC rallied in the second half, but came up just shy of dethroning the regular-season champion.

In Sunday’s other action, Eaton edged ABB 39-35 in the tournament consolation game to earn third place in the tournament.

Tye Barksdale of Dollar General/UNARCO earned Player of the Week honors for his performance in his team’s win in the championship game. He led the team with 36 points, 26 of which he scored in the first half.

Steven Hatcher of Eaton earned Player of the Week honors for the consolation game. Hatcher led his team in scoring with 13 points.

In addition to awards presented to the top three teams, league officials presented a number of other awards following Sunday’s final session of the season. The awards are as follows:

• Edward Carrington Sportsmanship Award Winner — Tysean Dunkley of ABB.

• Coach of the Year — Craig Ford of ABB

• Scoring Champion — Michael Nelson of Benchmark, averaged 20.9 points per game.

• Free Throw Champion — Keyshawn Johnson of Aquatics/Tvilum LLC, shot 72.70 percent from free throw line.

• Tournament MVP — Tye Barksdale of Dollar General/UNARCO — 38 points.

• Regular Season MVP Winners — Ryan Cobbs of Dollar General/UNARCO and Tysean Dunkley of ABB.

•  2019 Business & Industrial League/30 and Over League All-Stars - Terrell Venable (Youth Coaches), Steven Hatcher (Eaton), Calvin Chaney (Benchmark), Demetrius Burrell (Aquatics/Tvilum LLC), Joey Barksdale (Dollar General/UNARCO), Tye Barksdale (Dollar General/UNARCO), Keyshawn Johnson (Aquatics/Tvilum LLC), Michael Nelson (Benchmark), Ryan Cobbs (Dollar General/UNARCO), Tysean Dunkley (ABB), Justin Saunders (Benchmark), Robert Perkins (Italian Delight), Dustin LaClair (Eaton) and Jarrid Waller (ABB).
