Saturday’s Halifax Country Club Ladies Classic annual handicap golf tournament could not have been any closer, with Carol Gravitt edging Carolyn Young and Barbara Speece on a tiebreaker to earn the win.

All three ladies finished with a net score of 62, and after using USGA tiebreaker rules, Gravitt was awarded the win with Young being awarded second place and Speece taking third place. Kay Burton finished fourth with a net score of 65.

Linda Collier won the tournament’s closest-to-the-pin prize on hole number 3, and Gravitt won the closest-to-the-pin prize on hole number 10.
