The Southside Piedmont Junior Golf Association held its final regular season tournament on Thursday at the Lunenburg Country Club.
The members representing Halifax Country Club had another strong showing to wrap up the regular season as the championship matches take place this week.
The title matches will be played at Tanglewood Shores Country Club in Bracey.
In order for golfers to qualify for the tournament, they must have played in at least three-regular season tournaments. The players will be ranked by their average scores from the regular season tournaments and will then be partnered up by rankings.
In the tournament on Thursday at Lunenburg, Brady Grant finished in second place in the boys 7-9 year old division with a score of 38. Camden Saunders and Jackson Grant finished in third and fourth place with matching scores of 40.
In the 11-12-year-old division, Owen Mason shot a 44 to finish in second place and Landon Elliot shot a 58.
Alex Payne finished in third place in the 14-15-year-old division with a 49 and Cameron Burnett finished in fifth place in the 16-17-year-old division to finish in fifth place.
