The South Boston Business & Industrial/30 & Over Basketball League wrapped up their regular season action on Sunday with Hitachi-ABB/Trilum LLC completing a perfect season, finishing with a record of 8-0.

Following the conclusion of the regular season on Sunday, the league play will be put on a holiday break until Jan. 9, when the league tournament will begin.

Hitachi-ABB/Trilum LLC took on Goodyear in the first game of the day in which Hitachi-ABB/Trilum LLC claimed victory with a final score of 60-48.

Goodyear got off to a hot start leading Hitachi-ABB/Trilum LLC 28-26 at halftime due to their success from inside in the paint, scoring 20 of their 28 points.

However, Hitachi-ABB/Trilum LLC came out of the break on fire and scored 34 points in the second half, 21 of which came from behind the 3-point line.

In the second half Goodyear was only able to score inside the paint one time as Hitachi-ABB/Trilum LLC closed in on the paint.

The difference in the game came from behind the arc as Hitachi-ABB/Trilum LLC made 11 3-pointers while Goodyear could only make four 3-pointers fall.

Demetrius Burrell led Hitachi-ABB/Trilum LLC (8-0) to victory as he scored a game high 19 points.

Goodyear (4-4) was led by Justin Reynolds who scored 14 points in the loss.

In the second game of the afternoon ADUSA Distribution LLC beat Italian Delight 96-32.

ADUSA Distribution LLC did most of their work in the paint racking up a total of 68 points from inside the paint.

Along with their dominate inside game they locked down on defense only allowing Italian Delight to score 16 points in each half.

Nathaniel Johnson led ADUSA Distribution LLC (6-2) to victory scoring 39 points in the win.

Along with Johnson, Nykwanze Henderson put up 28 points in their win.

Italian Delight (2-6) was led by Shavon Givens, who scored 14 points in the loss.

In the final game of the day Benchmark claimed victorious over Polywood I with a final score of 90-70.

Benchmark was able to pull off the big win due to their success from behind the arc as they made 24 3-pointers making up 72 of their 90 points.

Joey Barksdale led Benchmark (6-2) in scoring with 20 points in the victory.

Polywood I (3-5) was led by Lymon Gregory who scored 24 points in the loss.

The South Boston Business & Industrial/30 & Over Basketball League named Burrell, Barksdale and Johnson as their Players of the Week.

Tournament play will begin on Jan. 9 with games set to tipoff beginning at 4 p.m.

The fourth seed in Goodyear (4-4) will take on the fifth seed in Polywood I (3-5) and at 5 p.m. the first seed in Benchmark (6-2) will go against the second seed in Italian Delight (2-6) for the championship in the 30 & Over Basketball League.

Play will pick back up on Jan. 16 with the first seed Hitachi-ABB/Trilum LLC (8-0) taking on the winner of the Goodyear/Polywood I game at 4 p.m.

At 5 p.m. the second seeded Polywood II (6-2) will take on the third seeded ADUSA Distribution LLC (6-2).

The championship game for the Business & Industrial Basketball League will take place on Jan. 23 at 4 p.m.
