The early portion of the schedule has been a struggle for the Halifax County High School junior varsity volleyball team.

Magna Vista High School topped the Comets 2-0 Tuesday night in Ridgeway edging the Comets in straight sets 25-23, 25-23. Gretna High School defeated the Comets 2-0 Wednesday night at Halifax County High School winning the best-of-three-set match by scores of 25-22 and 25-18.

Wednesday night’s loss dropped the Comets’ record to 0-4 overall and 0-1 against Piedmont District opponents.
