Halifax Dixie Minors all-stars took on Prince George County on Wednesday where Halifax had gotten out to a fast start this time scoring four runs in the bottom of the first and never looking back. 

Center fielder Jacob Owens led the team in hits with going 2-2 with one RBI and scoring once for Halifax. Starting pitcher Eli Brown pitched a great game, pitching 4 innings and only giving up one run on four hits while striking out five batters. 

Halifax looks to keep their title hopes alive against Madison Heights on Thursday. 

Tuesday Halifax County was unable to defeat Rustburg in their contest with a final score of 4-5. Rustburg got off to a hot start scoring four runs in the top of the first inning leaving Halifax to fight from behind the rest of the game. 

Rustburg added to their lead in the fourth inning scoring one run in the top half, but Halifax came swinging in the bottom of the fourth scoring four runs of their own but were unable to score again in the six-inning contest. 

The starting pitcher Jacob Allen led the all-stars in hits going 2-2 with a walk and scoring once in Halifax’s loss.
