The South Boston Business & Industrial/30 & Over Basketball League hosted its fifth week of games on Sunday with the first game of the day between Hitachi-ABB/ Trilum LLC and Polywood II, both of which were undefeated with records of 4-0.

The Hitachi-ABB/ Tilum LLC team claimed victory over Polywood II with a final score of 44-34 and is the last remaining unbeaten team.

The difference in the clash between the last two unbeaten teams was free throws with Hitachi-ABB/ Trilum LLC attempting 23 free throws, but only making 12 of those attempts.

Polywood II had 10 attempts at the free throw line, making half of their attempts.

Deshon Dabbs, who has been the team’s leading scorer in every game so far, continued his dominance on the offensive end leading the Hitachi-ABB/ Trilum LLC team in scoring once again with a total of 20 points, seven of which came from the free throw line.

Cameron Brown led Polywood II in scoring with a total of 14 points, 10 of which came from inside the three-point line.

The second game of the day was between Goodyear and Italian Delight in which Goodyear claimed the victory by 20 points with a final score of 66-46.

The difference in the game was the amount of three-pointers that Goodyear was able to make, leading all teams on the day with 12 threes made.

The leading scorer for Goodyear was Justin Reynolds, who scored 13 points, but the ball was distributed evenly among the team with four players scoring in double digits.

E.J. Hamlin led the Italian Delight squad in scoring with 12 points on the day.

The final game of the afternoon was between Polywood I and Benchmark in which both teams were .500 or lower coming into the game.

The difference in the game came from inside the paint in which Polywood I was able to get whatever they wanted with a total of 21 baskets inside the paint.

Polywood I outscored Benchmark and claimed the victory with a final score of 65-55, and were led by Jea’Ron Rodgers, who led all scorers on the day with a total of 30 points.

Mike Ferrell led Benchmark with a total of 26 points in the matchup.

The South Boston Business & Industrial/30 & Over Basketball League named Dabbs, Rogers and Reynolds their Players of the Week after their performances on Sunday.

The league will host their sixth week of action on Sunday with ADUSA Distribution LLC (5-1) taking on Hitachi-ABB/ Trilum LLC (5-0) at 4 p.m., Polywood II (4-1) taking on Goodyear (3-2) at 5 p.m. and Italian Delight (2-2) taking on Polywood I (2-2) at 6 p.m.
